Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Lounge Barback to join our beverage service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting our bartenders in providing top-notch service to our guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.

Responsibilities
  • Order Management: Retrieve orders from the storeroom, verify accuracy with storeroom personnel, and deliver to the bar for re-checking with the bartender.
  • Garnish Preparation: Cut, slice, and peel perishable garnishes and fruits, mix and pour juices as needed, and store back-up supplies in prescribed containers.
  • Supply Management: Check and assist the bartender in maintaining adequate supplies, including stir sticks, napkins, matches, and other essentials.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, beer lockers, refrigeration, and storage areas to meet health code standards.
  • Ice and Beverage Service: Scoop ice from ice bins, transport to service areas, and replenish ice containers as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Box and save empty liquor bottles for later returns and requisitions.
  • Beer Keg Maintenance: Transport taps, replace, and perform routine maintenance requirements on heavy beer kegs.
Requirements
  • Hotel Experience: Preferred, but not required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills to ensure proper delivery amounts and understand portion sizes.
  • Physical Abilities: Sufficient manual dexterity, ability to lift and carry goods weighing up to 150 lbs., and perform duties in various temperature ranges.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences and effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
