Key Responsibilities
  • Explain and demonstrate product capabilities to customers, providing personalized solutions to meet their needs.
  • Meet or exceed sales, retention, and customer experience targets, consistently delivering high-quality results.
  • Assist with the opening and closing of our retail store environments, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos to educate customers and promote our products.
  • Support fellow sales agents and colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of Cox products and services, staying up-to-date on industry trends and competitor offerings.
  • May be required to work in other locations within the same geographical area.
What We Offer

Cox Communications is committed to providing a competitive compensation package, including a variable targeted total compensation of $48,628, with high earners reaching an average annual compensation of $63,224. Our employees also receive a full-time hourly base rate of $16/hour, plus monthly targeted commissions, and are eligible for additional paid time off, including bereavement leave, time off to vote, and military leave.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative and solutions-based approach.
  • Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to be mobile within the store for long periods of time to greet customers and demonstrate products.
  • Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to help manage stock room inventory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college experience with a focus in sales, business, and/or management.
  • One year of experience in a related field, such as sales, retail sales, or service industry.
  • Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
