Key Responsibilities:

  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
  • Dietary Accommodations: Adhere to residents' dietary restrictions, preferences, and special requests.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Menu Development: Assist in planning menus and food preparation schedules.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to the supervisor.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure timely and accurate meal service.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of food preparation, temperatures, and waste as required.

Requirements:

  • Food Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and dietary requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Resident Satisfaction: Excellent communication skills and a commitment to resident satisfaction.
  • Certification: Certification in Food Safety or ServSafe preferred (or willingness to obtain).
