Philanthropy Patient Engagement (Full-time, Day Shift, Hybrid) - Job Overview: The Fundraising Specialist plays a crucial role in obtaining significant annual contributions from alumni, appreciative patients, and supporters of Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.Qualifications and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory. A minimum of one year of experience in marketing, public relations, planned giving, or a related discipline is essential.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficient in typing at least 40 words per minute.
Capable of reading, writing clearly, and communicating in English with a professional demeanor; adept in using computers, printers, and essential software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the role.Skilled in establishing and maintaining positive, effective, and professional relationships with others; able to remain composed and respond courteously under pressure; capable of collaborating and accepting guidance.
Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing; strong critical thinking abilities; proficient in managing multiple tasks efficiently; organized and able to prioritize workload; capable of working well under pressure; adept at problem-solving; able to recall information accurately; attentive to detail; and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
Ability to distinguish colors as necessary; sufficient hearing for general conversations in person and over the phone; capable of identifying and differentiating various sounds associated with the workplace; adequate vision to read computer screens and written documents essential for the position.
Certifications and Licenses:
Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) is preferred. A valid Driver's License is required upon hiring.
