Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities to identify areas of strength and weakness.
- Develop Individualized Therapy Plans: Create personalized therapy plans and goals based on assessment results and students' needs.
- Provide Direct Therapy Services: Deliver direct therapy services to students, targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
- Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication goals in the classroom and other educational settings.
- Monitor Progress and Adjust Plans: Regularly monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes.
- Document Therapy Sessions: Accurately and timely document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information.
- Participate in IEP Meetings: Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding students' speech and language needs.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid State Licensure: Hold valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience in Pediatric Settings: Have experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
- Assessment and Therapeutic Techniques: Be proficient in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Teletherapy Experience: Have experience in teletherapy or online counseling (preferred).
- AAC Systems and Assistive Technology: Have knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technology used in speech-language therapy (preferred).
