Job Title: Registered Nurse Supervisor

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Supervisor in our Med-Surg department. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of nursing professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for supervising nursing staff, providing administrative and clinical support, and collaborating with nursing directors to ensure the smooth operation of the department. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Provide administrative support, including staffing, scheduling, and documentation
  • Collaborate with nursing directors to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Assist with orientation and training of new staff members
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Master's degree in psychiatric nursing or BSN degree
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Minimum 18 months experience in psychiatric inpatient setting (MSN) or 3 years experience in a psychiatric setting (BSN)
