- Customer Engagement
- Address customer inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Track and report on membership sales on a weekly basis.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of product offerings, promotional events, and store activities.
- Visual Merchandising
- Assist in maintaining organized stock and ensure that the sales floor is attractively displayed.
- Ensure all product displays are accurate and well-maintained.
- Keep the sales area and stockroom clean and orderly.
- Operational Duties
- Support online order fulfillment processes, including picking and shipping.
- Assist with receiving merchandise and managing inventory.
- Follow established procedures for opening and closing the store.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Contribute to staff scheduling and training initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven sales skills and a strong understanding of retail operations.
- Basic math proficiency and familiarity with retail financial practices.
- A passion for opera and knowledge of its history and key figures.
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Previous retail experience is preferred; museum experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a retail environment with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Capability to navigate the sales floor and stock areas, manage cleaning supplies, and lift items up to 50 lbs.
Compensation: $19 - $22 per hour
