At StandardAero, we're dedicated to delivering exceptional MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace industry. As an Industrial Machinist, you'll play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission.
Key Responsibilities:- Read and interpret specification manuals, blueprints, and layouts to determine machining operations.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and modify machinery to achieve expected performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes and cross-train in other complementary skills.
- Move between production assignments and participate in the cross-training of other technicians.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable safety requirements and report any unsafe practices or conditions.
- High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy, and precision.
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing, tool design, fabrication methods, and processes, metallurgy, and heat treating.
- Working knowledge of welding, hydraulics, electricity, and pneumatics.
- Proficiency in operating Manual VTL, Lathes, and Mills.
- Prior experience in machine set-ups and tool changes is preferred, with prior or current CNC experience being a plus.
