Pro Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traveling Industrial Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' electrical systems.
Job Summary:The Traveling Industrial Electrician will be responsible for performing routine and non-routine electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs at our customer sites. This includes monitoring and servicing electrical systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, running tests, completing reports, and updating and improving existing electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine and non-routine electrical maintenance, including monitoring and servicing electrical systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, running tests, and completing reports.
- System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical system issues, including communication problems in single motor drives and multiple motor drives.
- PLC Ladder Logic: Connect to and understand PLC Ladder logic, identifying and correcting bugs, and making changes to inputs, outputs, and other logic as required.
- Motor Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot motor problems, including working knowledge of AC, DC, Synchronous, Induction, and Switched reluctance motors.
- Conveyor System Diagnosis: Diagnose and troubleshoot conveyor systems, including working with switches and sensors within operational environments.
- Safety Standards: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing tasks, and actively participate in creating a safe work environment for self and others.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, and 10+ years of hands-on electrical experience in a manufacturing or maintenance setting.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license, and at least one of the following: Master or Supervisor level Licensed Electrician, Journeyman, equivalent, or higher in Electrical or Instrumentation and Controls, or 5+ years of Production Maintenance with a demonstrated high level of understanding in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls.
- Skills: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization, basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite (G Suite), and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
The Traveling Industrial Electrician will be required to travel regularly (more than 75% of the time), work flexible shifts, and adapt to a changing work schedule. The individual must be physically able to climb ladders, stairs, ramps, and scaffolds, and bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds is also required.
