We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Covenant Health Plainview. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing various laboratory tests and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood draws, urinalyses, and other diagnostic tests.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and other instruments.
- Prepare and analyze laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Record and report laboratory results, including test results and patient information.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Associate's Degree in Basic Science or Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited program.
- Certification by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
- 6 months of work experience in a clinical laboratory, preferably in a hospital setting.
