Job Overview

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Hosts and Hostesses at Venice Kitchen. As a Host or Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience that sets the tone for their dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and manage the efficient seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes.
  • Record guest names and number of people in party when immediate seating is limited.
  • Call out name and number of party when tables become available.
  • Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
  • Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
  • Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
  • Offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name.
  • Relay messages to servers and buspersons as needed.
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

Requirements:

  • No previous restaurant experience required.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Exceptional grooming habits.
