Key Responsibilities

Purpose Statement: This position serves as an entry-level opportunity where individuals will receive training to manage the procurement processes for designated goods, commodities, and/or services, ensuring they align with quality, delivery, and pricing standards outlined in our purchasing protocols.

Core Duties:

  • Oversee material procurement in accordance with Plexus management guidelines and client contract stipulations, emphasizing adherence to approved vendor lists, pricing, quality, and timely delivery
  • Make strategic purchasing decisions regarding order placements, rescheduling, cancellations, and prompt resolution of material discrepancies and invoice inquiries
  • Optimize inventory levels to meet production demands, implementing corrective measures to avert schedule interruptions
  • Manage procurement automation systems, ensuring efficient and precise purchasing by maintaining data integrity and resolving issues within automated processes

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience typically required
  • Relevant qualifications are advantageous

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or MS Office, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with general office tools and resources

Physical Demands:

  • Comfortable office environment with suitable lighting, temperature, and minimal noise
  • May involve prolonged periods of sitting and computer usage, emphasizing ergonomic practices

Travel Expectations:

  • Less than 40%
