Job Title: Retail Assistant Manager

At FedEx Ground, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for leading a store business unit, focusing on creating a consistent and positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Experience: Demonstrates consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, expert service is delivered to all customers.
  • Team Management: Evaluates the efficiency and productivity of team members in creating positive customer experiences.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolves customer disputes and complaints to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Store Operations: Creates a customer-focused environment in all areas of the store and monitors the store to ensure a clean and professional environment.
  • Process Improvement: Establishes and manages a process for customer flow in the store to improve service experience.
  • Training and Development: Provides training and development of team members on assigned shifts.
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Interviews job applicants and assists the Store Manager with the hiring of team members.
  • Performance Management: Coaches, counsels, and provides feedback to team members on their performance.
  • Communication: Maintains communication with the Store Lead Consultant and/or production team to ensure deadlines are met and quality checks are being performed.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Oversees shipping-related services and activities.
  • Administrative Duties: Assists the Store Manager with payroll and daily close-out of POS.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Experience: 1+ year of related experience, prior supervisory experience preferred.
Essential Functions:
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure.
