Job Summary

Confluence Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant Certified to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Certified, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and quality patient care by performing a variety of clerical and patient-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the provider and healthcare team in providing excellent customer service and quality patient care.
  • Perform a variety of clerical and patient-related tasks, including injections, measuring patient vital signs, managing rooming and patient flow, pre-visit preparation, and post-visit duties.
  • Inform the provider of schedule changes that impact patient flow and assist with front office activities, scheduling tasks, and reporting test results as directed by the provider.
  • Communicate with patients, relay important information to the provider, and provide follow-up to patients as delegated.
  • Maintain clean exam rooms, clean instruments, and stock items for use in the exam and procedure rooms.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Accredited Medical Assisting program graduate, or enrolled in externship program.
  • Active Medical Assistant Interim (IC) or Medical Assistant - Certified (CM) license through the Washington State Department of Health by start date.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting is desired.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
Working Conditions

The work environment is fast-paced and requires a combination of working closely with others. Hours may be irregular at times, and overtime may be required. The Medical Assistant Certified will work under stressful conditions and will be required to maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
