Job Title: Diagnostician

Hutto Independent School District is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Diagnostician will be responsible for implementing the special education appraisal process, assessing the educational, learning styles, and program needs of students referred to special education services, and providing diagnostic information to instructional personnel to provide the most appropriate programs for students with disabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement the special education appraisal process
  • Assess the educational, learning styles, and program needs of students referred to special education services
  • Provide diagnostic information and work cooperatively with instructional personnel to provide the most appropriate programs for students with disabilities
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in educational assessment
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate
  • Valid Texas educational diagnostician certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years teaching experience
  • Experience in coordinating Child Find activities, including transdisciplinary play-based assessments
  • Experience in case managing early childhood education students and supporting the development of pre-school inclusion initiatives
