POSITION OBJECTIVE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Perform Teller Operations Efficiently:
    • Process deposits, withdrawals, and loan repayments.
    • Cash checks and other negotiable items.
    • Facilitate transfers between customer accounts.
    • Issue traveler's checks, official checks, and money orders.
    • Ensure daily cash balancing and promptly address discrepancies.
    • Promote Bank products to clients.
    • Adhere to Teller protocols and compliance standards.
  • Build Professional Client Relationships:
    • Address client inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
    • Safeguard client confidentiality and uphold the Bank's integrity.
  • Collaborate with Team Members and Management:
    • Support team members as needed.
    • Keep management updated on operational activities.
    • Accurately complete necessary reports and documentation.
    • Participate in meetings and training sessions.
  • Undertake Additional Responsibilities:
    • Manage night drop functions and administrative tasks.
    • Ensure work areas are clean and secure.
    • Cross-sell Bank products effectively.

MEASUREMENT OF SUCCESS

  • Accurate and efficient execution of Teller duties.
  • Daily cash balancing with prompt resolution of discrepancies.
  • Maintain positive client relations and handle inquiries courteously.
  • Foster strong working relationships with colleagues and management.
  • Provide support to other staff as required and keep supervisors informed.
  • Develop new client relationships and effectively promote Bank products.
  • Uphold the Bank's professional image.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Knowledge: Familiarity with banking operations is preferred.

Experience Required: Minimum of one year in a related role or cash handling experience is necessary.

Previous experience as a Teller is advantageous.

Skills/Abilities: Strong communication, mathematical, and typing skills are essential.

Professional demeanor and proficiency in operating business equipment are required.
