Job Summary:

Oversee all operational functions of the Reception Center, ensuring the highest standards of courteous service while achieving profit objectives. Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to provide clear guidance to staff. Monitor performance and promote improvement. Conduct interviews, select, train, supervise, evaluate, counsel, and implement progressive disciplinary actions for front desk personnel to uphold quality standards. Engage positively with guests and proactively resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction. Lead a customer service-oriented culture within the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments, participating in quality forums focused on continuous enhancement.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Address individual guest issues as they arise, striving for satisfactory resolutions and updating guest history accordingly.
  • Ensure accurate setup for all arrivals by verifying room types, group billing, individual FIT rates, and special requests.
  • Facilitate smooth operations at the Front Desk by supporting and guiding Front Desk Agents.
  • Assist the Front Desk Lead and Front Office Manager in ensuring adherence to Reception Center Standards and Checklists by Front Office staff.
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, and ethics in interactions with guests, colleagues, and subordinates.
  • Ensure the safety of employees and guests by following proper emergency and safety protocols.
  • Foster strong working relationships with other department managers and directors to optimize communication and teamwork.
  • Organize and oversee on-the-job training for new employees, monitoring training programs for all new hires.
  • Perform additional tasks or projects as required or deemed necessary by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:

Required:
  • High school diploma.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Previous front desk or hospitality experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Preferred:
  • Experience in a luxury environment.
  • A minimum of two years of Front Desk experience in a property of similar size and quality.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish.
  • College Degree in hospitality or a business-related field.
  • Familiarity with IQware, IQtrac, and Alice.
The expected pay range is $50,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
