Job Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards, including dusting, vacuuming, and restocking linens and amenities.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including setting up housekeeping carts and replenishing cleaning supplies.
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways, and keep all public areas clean and tidy.
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day's use and replenish chemical bottles.
  • Report any maintenance repairs or missing items to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
  • Handle items for Lost and Found according to standards and ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work long hours and adapt to changing situations.
