Position Overview:

A client based in Los Angeles is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Nurse Practitioner to lead the street medicine initiative for the homeless and unsheltered population in the area. Candidates with experience in managing individuals facing substance use challenges and complex social issues will be favored. The ideal applicant should demonstrate a commitment to high-quality, evidence-based patient care and possess the ability to treat patients across all age groups.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid California Nurse Practitioner license
  • California DEA certificate required prior to commencement
  • Current CPR certification
  • Board certification in relevant field
  • Preferred proficiency in Spanish
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose a wide range of medical conditions in patients of all ages
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results, developing treatment plans accordingly
  • Conduct therapeutic procedures with an emphasis on preventive care
  • Coordinate referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients within the caseload
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions in line with organizational policies
