Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Multi-Modality Technologist to join our team in Saint Helena, California.
Job Summary:As a Multi-Modality Technologist, you will be responsible for operating x-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts as ordered by physicians. You will position and instruct patients prior to examination, adjust the x-ray equipment, and determine the proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph.
Responsibilities:- Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, explaining procedures to patients and answering their questions.
- Prepare equipment for use as needed, prepare examination rooms for patient exams, and position patients for imaging exams.
- Monitor patients and ensure their safety during exams, produce diagnostic images, and document exam information.
- Report important information to physicians, verify exams on PACS, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Associate's Degree in radiological technology (preferred).
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) certification.
- Radiologic Tech (RT) certification in the state of practice (required in CA and HI).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment (preferred).
