A Quality Assurance Engineer for Suppliers plays a crucial role in establishing and overseeing suppliers who can reliably deliver high-quality components that meet Medical Device standards.


In this position, the Quality Assurance Engineer will engage in collaboration with various cross-functional teams, including Research & Development, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, Factory Operations, Operations Quality, and Supply Chain teams, to effectively manage suppliers involved in both new product development and ongoing production.


This role provides extensive learning opportunities across a diverse range of manufacturing processes, supplier operations, and the Quality Management System within the medical device sector. It also involves supplier development and management, utilizing methodologies such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).


With the potential for travel up to 20% domestically and up to 5% internationally, this position offers valuable exposure through on-site supplier assessments and in-depth learning about Philips products and business operations.


Ideal Candidate Profile:
You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or other similarly regulated sectors.

Familiarity with APQP/PPAP component qualification processes.

Experience with corrective and preventive action (CAPA), SCAR, and 8D tools aimed at continuous improvement.

Proven experience in supplier management, encompassing supplier quality, supply chain, or procurement functions.

You should demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout the organization, lead challenging situations, and work together to develop effective solutions while maintaining a focus on both business objectives and compliance.

Philips Transparency Details

The salary range for this position is $77,000 to $132,000 annually.

The actual base salary offered may vary based on several factors, including job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

Additionally, other forms of compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission, or long-term incentives, may be available.
