Optometric Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Optometric Technician to join our team at EssilorLuxottica. As an Optometric Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient service and ensuring all patients receive the highest quality of care.

• Patient Service: Enthusiastically satisfy patients all the time through exceptional service, greeting guests without delay when they enter the store, and showing urgency in providing service to guests and satisfying their needs.
• Prescription Review: Review prescriptions and/or patient information carefully, identifying special needs, consulting with Opticians, Doctor or Retail Management when necessary.
• Appointment Scheduling: Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures, accurately operating the POS system, when required, collecting proper payment following.
• Store Maintenance: Take pride in the appearance of the store and show initiative in keeping the displays clean, attractive and organized, informing management of potential safety opportunities.
• Clinical Support: Perform all pre-examination testing with accuracy and attention to detail, taking the initiative to explain all measurements and answers any questions the patient may have, utilizing clinical and product knowledge, providing coaching and guidance to patients on the care and handling of contact lenses.

• Guest Service Skills: Minimum of one-year strong guest service skills (internal/external)
• Education: High School Graduate /GED or equivalent experience
• Communication Skills: Strong communicator and listener to guests and associates
• Math Skills: Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills (friendly, caring, patient)
• Sales Skills: Sales skills
• Knowledge of Store Merchandise: Knowledge of store merchandise
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators
