Pharmacy Technician I

As a Pharmacy Technician at Hannaford Supermarkets, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the pharmacy team. Your primary responsibilities will include filling prescriptions, assisting customers, and performing clerical functions. You will work closely with pharmacists to learn from their expertise and contribute to the success of the department.
Key Responsibilities
• Personalize the customer experience by using your skills and product knowledge to problem solve and offer solutions that meet or exceed customers' expectations.
• Assist pharmacists with filling and processing prescriptions, while learning from and leaning on their expert knowledge and experience.
• Support the pharmacy by performing clerical functions such as filling, organizing, and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
• Strong communication, customer service, and time-management skills.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Effective interpersonal skills and desire to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must pass a criminal background check and meet minimum age and educational requirements.
Physical Requirements
• Standing and using a computer, keyboard, etc. for extended periods of time.
• Frequent bending at the knees and waist.
• Use hands frequently, often involving fine motor skills; frequent/continuous reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 20lbs at waist or shoulder level.
• Visual acuity and audio capacity to process prescriptions and service customers.
Preferred Requirements
Hannaford will pay for your National Technician Certification. We are passionate about providing you the tools to access a better future and take the pharmacy technician national certification exam. Salary range is between $21.40 Hrly.
