We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible individual to work as a Sanitation Associate 3rd Shift in our food manufacturing facility. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, production areas, and surrounding spaces to meet food safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of production equipment, processing areas, and other surfaces according to established procedures and schedules.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning purposes.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and report any sanitation issues, equipment damage, or potential safety hazards.
  • Document and report any deviations from cleanliness standards.
  • Follow strict GMP Regulations and SQF policies when working around active food-production areas, including following all FDA and USDA requirements and procedures.
  • Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and sanitizers in accordance with company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Dilute and mix cleaning solutions as required.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in routine maintenance/sanitation tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in sanitation or a related field, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures, chemical handling, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules and procedures.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Basic understanding of food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Work Environment:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The work environment is refrigerated (40F) and wet.
