Join SCA Health, a leading provider of specialty care services, as a Surgical Scheduler. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling all outpatient surgeries and procedures, ensuring seamless coordination between patients, physicians, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule surgeries and procedures, ensuring timely and efficient coordination
  • Obtain and add patient demographics and insurance information into the billing system
  • Contact payers to verify patient benefits and obtain necessary authorization
  • Coordinate with the Director of Nursing to ensure availability of needed equipment and staff
  • Prepare and distribute the daily surgery schedule to relevant staff members
  • Capture complete and accurate clinical, demographic, and insurance information on patients scheduled
  • Communicate with the Director of Nursing and other staff members regarding scheduling conflicts and patient issues
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year of scheduling experience in an ambulatory surgery facility, acute-care hospital, or doctor's office
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently
