Radiology Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Radiology team in Pottsville, PA.

The successful candidate will possess advanced clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a commitment to delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care in a dynamic environment.

• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare providers to plan, prepare, and oversee imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety.
• Assist with contrast injections as required.
• Manage acute hypersensitivity and physiologic drug reactions, demonstrating strong knowledge and understanding of ACR treatment algorithms.
• Administer oxygen, medications, and position changes as needed, monitoring patients accordingly.
• Exercise sound judgment in determining when to activate emergency response measures and demonstrate proficiency in recognizing situations requiring immediate assistance or emergency intervention.
• Assist with facility processes, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing education to enhance procedural skills, promote patient safety, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to staff members, providing guidance, education, and support related to radiology procedures and patient care techniques.

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in critical care, radiology, or a related specialty area.
• Certification in radiology nursing (CRN) preferred.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making in high-stress situations.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards, guidelines, and best practices related to radiology procedures and patient safety.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
