The Medical Imaging Specialist collaborates with Healthcare Providers and/or Medical Assistants in the assessment and treatment of patients at GoHealth Urgent Care.

This position is accountable for executing a range of technical procedures and utilizing prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging of our patients.

Responsibilities include conducting and interpreting patient x-rays and communicating findings to Healthcare Providers. Additional duties encompass providing administrative assistance to promote the efficient functioning of GoHealth Urgent Care Centers.

Your Contributions to Patient Care:

Work alongside Healthcare Providers and Medical Assistants through various responsibilities related to patient care management, organization, and communication.

Utilize professional judgment to deliver healthcare services, which involve applying x-ray technology to aid in the diagnosis or treatment of patients across all age groups, from infants to seniors.

Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
Experience in a clinical environment is preferred.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification is mandatory.
New York State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or must be obtained (see below). New hires must secure BLS certification within 30 days of starting.
