We are seeking a highly skilled Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Swedish Cancer Institute. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of innovative treatment plans.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and laboratory results
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab results and imaging studies
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and symptom control
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, including information about treatment options, side effects, and follow-up care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Hematology/Oncology
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Hematology/Oncology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
