Job Title: Lactation Consultant

At Akron Children's Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Lactation Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our lactation counseling center, you will play a vital role in providing expert care and support to new mothers and their babies.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized plans for lactation counseling.
  • Provide education and support to lactating mothers on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
  • Identify community needs and assist with program development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent required.
  • Registered Nurse licensure and current BLS training required.
  • International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience and supervisory experience preferred.
