General Cleaner

Bluechip Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Cleaner to join our team. As a General Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities in assigned buildings/facilities, including dusting, sanitizing, and spot cleaning.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Dust mop and spot mop main hallways, including glass cleaning and planters.
• Clean and sanitize food court areas, including tables, chairs, and trash cans.
• Perform floor sanitizing and cleaning, including mopping and using germicidal solutions.
• High dust and clean window areas, including ledges and corners.
• Perform grounds care, including emptying and cleaning ash urns and trash cans, policing sidewalks and flower beds, and spot cleaning spills.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed by supervisor and/or Account Manager.

• Knowledge of basic operations of janitorial work, including methods, materials, and equipment used.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, and to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment, including mops, brooms, and vacuum cleaners.
• Ability to interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, including walking, standing, and lifting.

The General Cleaner will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
