Position Purpose
Under general supervision, you will operate company trucks to deliver products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
The following duties are typical for this role; however, employees may perform additional related tasks, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in this position:

  • Drive company trucks on public roads to transport, load, and unload materials for EMS customers.
  • Adhere to all local, state, federal, and company regulations while operating the vehicle, ensuring safe driving practices.
  • Maintain a driver's logbook and vehicle inspection report in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Inspect the vehicle and necessary equipment to ensure safe operating conditions before departure.
  • Review shipping documents for load details and any special handling requirements.
  • Verify that the load is properly secured and safe for transport.
  • Navigate loading platforms, tight corners, and narrow passageways while maintaining control of the truck and trailer, especially in adverse weather conditions.
  • Utilize safety equipment when handling materials.
  • Safely load and unload cargo as needed.
  • Keep the truck clean and well-maintained.
  • Ensure the tarp is clean, neat, folded, and secured on the trailer.
  • Additional duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class "A" CDL driver's license.
  • Preferred three years of experience driving a 53-foot tractor-trailer.
  • No more than one major traffic violation in the past five years.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy materials up to 50 lbs and climb on and off a flatbed trailer.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
