Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our Adult Residential Services team. As a DSP, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in our residential settings, helping them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
Responsibilities
- Complete required trainings and certifications, including SCIP-R and First Aid/CPR, to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to promote social connections, community integration, and daily living skills.
- Advocate for the rights and interests of individuals we serve, promoting their autonomy and dignity.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including ADLs, cooking, house cleaning, laundry, and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Document individual progress, including goals, protocols, outings, and recreational activities.
- Administer medications under the supervision of assigned nursing staff (AMAP), if applicable.
- Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to ensure high-quality care and support.
Requirements
- Valid NYS Driver's license and ability to obtain DDI-approved driver status
