We are seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As an Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for assembling and testing complex electronic and mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities- Work from diagrams and drawings to make initial layouts and use hand tools to assemble components.
- Conduct quality inspections on work in process and completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
- Notify team leaders or supervisors of any problems that may be causing a delay in production schedule or possible quality defects.
- May require working with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials, and other commonly used chemicals in manufacturing.
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and good attention to detail.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing setting.
- Prior experience working with electronics.
- Current Solder J-STD or IPC solder certificate.
