Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol and Respond: Patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent crime, respond to emergency calls, and provide assistance to the public.
  • Investigate and Analyze: Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, and analyze data to determine the validity of complaints and incidents.
  • Enforce Laws and Regulations: Enforce traffic laws, ordinances, and regulations, and issue citations or warnings as necessary.
  • Provide Community Service: Participate in community-oriented programs, build relationships with the public, and provide assistance to those in need.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 60 college hours from an accredited college or university preferred. A minimum of 2 years of qualified street experience is also preferred.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Must be a basic TCLEOSE certified Peace officer in good standing, and possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Skills and Abilities: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to type at least 30 wpm, and operate computer equipment.
