Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at FedEx. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of packages and freight within our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts to move packages and freight within the warehouse.
  • Assist in the buildup and breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
  • Serve as a liaison between FedEx and our ULD repair vendor, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
  • Ability to walk and stand for designated work hours.
  • Ability to bend and squat for designated work hours.
  • Ability to maneuver packages above shoulder level.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, if required at work location.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, if required at work location.
  • Ability to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training.
  • Ability to communicate both timely and effectively, in a noisy operations environment.
Working Conditions
  • This is a non-covered safety-sensitive position.
  • A medical exam is required.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Valid driver's license is required, as operating motorized conveyances is a requirement of this job.

  • Eligible employees receive health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
  • Pay range: $18.02 per hour; weekly pay.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Valid Florida driver's license is required.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language.
  • Lived in the US for the last 3 years.
