Job Summary:
As a CT Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations of patients. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of CT scanning procedures and protocols.
  • Position patients on the examination table and monitor their condition during the examination.
  • Introduce intravenous contrast material as directed by the radiologist.
  • Control and adjust CT equipment to ensure that images meet the required standards.
  • Maintain equipment and examination rooms, store film, and manage related supplies.
  • Prepare patient information files and submit reports showing the number and type of examinations performed.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two (2) years of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist with ARRT certification.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience as a CT Technologist or registry-eligible ARRT advanced certification in CT.
  • Graduate of a certified/accredited ARRT program.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Radiologic Technologist License (District of Columbia).
  • Basic Life Support.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography within 12 months of hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, push, pull, and lift patients.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with members and coworkers.
  • Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software.
  • Knowledge of customer-focused service requirements of the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions.
