Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric ER Nurse to join our dynamic team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a Pediatric ER Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to infants, children, and adolescents in our emergency department. Your expertise and compassion will play a critical role in ensuring that our young patients receive the best possible care during their time with us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide direct care to pediatric patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and responding to emergencies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and answering questions in a compassionate and empathetic manner
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Experience working in an acute care setting, preferably in pediatrics or emergency medicine
- A current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; CPEN certification preferred
