Job Overview

A. POSITION SUMMARY

The Over-The-Road Driver is tasked with operating a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a minimum capacity of 26,000 GVW, responsible for the transportation, delivery, and collection of goods. A valid commercial driver's license and at least three years of accident-free over-the-road driving experience are mandatory.

B. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.

2. Complete all mandatory safety training sessions.

3. Keep a tidy, safe, and organized workspace.

4. Provide assistance to the Plant Manager and Supervisor as required.

5. Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the plant.

6. Operate vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment as necessary.

7. Drive trucks with capacities exceeding 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations.

8. Demonstrate the ability to observe, receive, and gather information from various sources.

9. Exhibit the capability to handle and move objects safely.

10. Engage in general physical activities as needed.

11. Interact professionally with coworkers and the public.

12. Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.

13. Conduct inspections and maintain equipment or materials, such as fuel and oil.

14. Identify objects, actions, and events accurately.

15. Process information efficiently, including compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying data.

16. Obey traffic laws and follow established transportation procedures.

17. Verify inventory loads against shipping documents.

18. Submit appropriate paperwork for pickups and deliveries.
