Job Summary:

The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt and processing of shipments at Cregger Company. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect shipments, verifying contents against shipping invoices.
  • Assist in unloading shipments from delivery trucks and transporting them to the warehouse using dollies, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Open boxes and inspect contents, checking for any discrepancies or damage.
  • Process transfers for shipments moving to another location, maintaining accurate records of all received shipments.
  • Report any major or unresolved shipment delays or problems to the Warehouse Manager.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Plumbing/HVAC product experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy boxes, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a safe and organized workspace.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Basic math skills and ability to operate forklifts and other equipment.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a warehouse environment, with regular exposure to noise, dust, and physical activity. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and productivity.
