Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Pastor to lead our congregation in spiritual growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong theological background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for preaching and teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preaching and Teaching: Develop and deliver engaging sermons and teachings that inspire and equip our congregation to live out their faith.
  • Leadership: Provide spiritual guidance and leadership to our congregation, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Discipleship: Develop and implement discipleship programs that help our congregation grow in their faith and become mature disciples of Christ.
  • Pastoral Care: Provide pastoral counseling and spiritual guidance to our congregation, showing compassion and empathy for those in need.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a vision for the future of our church, working closely with the Elder board to achieve our goals.
  • Administration and Management: Oversee the administrative and management aspects of our church, including staff management and resource allocation.
  • Evangelism and Community Outreach: Develop and implement strategies for evangelism and community outreach, working to share the Gospel and engage with non-believers.

Requirements:

  • Biblical Standards: Demonstrate integrity, stability, and doctrinal soundness, embodying the biblical qualifications for a pastor as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
  • Experience: Have prior experience in leading, preaching, counseling, pastoral care, and managing staff and administrative duties.
  • Education: Possess a strong theological education from an accredited institution, with a deep understanding of Scripture and Christian theology.
  • Leadership Qualities: Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, including casting visions for church growth, setting goals, and inspiring and empowering others.

Compensation:

Salary compensation will be in line with the church budget and the cost of living in the area. The salary package will be fair and competitive with other churches in our area that are similar in size, and will reflect the candidate's qualifications and experience.
