### Job Title: Correctional Nurse Position in Yankton

#### Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Department of Corrections in Yankton. As a Correctional Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to inmates in a variety of clinic settings. This is a full-time position working three 12-hour shifts per week with a flexible schedule that includes a weekend/holiday rotation.

#### Key Responsibilities

* Provide skilled nursing care to inmates in various clinic settings
* Document patient information accurately and timely
* Transcribe reports at change of shifts
* Provide patient education within established nursing guidelines
* Prescribe medications and treatments as needed
* Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans

#### Qualifications

* Current, valid license as a Registered Nurse from the South Dakota Board of Nursing or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
* Ability to effectively treat patients on a daily basis in a variety of settings
* Ability to follow patient confidentiality standards
* Ability to respond to emergency situations involving offenders and/or medical situations
