Electrical Engineer Job Description

Intellisense Systems, Inc. is a leading technology innovator that solves complex challenges for customers in the aerospace and defense markets. We design, develop, and manufacture advanced products for ground, maritime, and airborne applications.

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Tactical Systems Department, which develops cutting-edge, ruggedized military hardware to support operations via air, land, or sea. Our department focuses on tightly integrated, compact sensing and computing technologies to deliver mission-critical information.

Responsibilities:
  • Design circuit boards using Altium with Concord Pro to manage designs and library components.
  • Develop firmware using C for PIC microcontrollers and VHDL or Verilog for FPGAs.
  • Develop and review technical data packages for assigned projects.
  • Write plans for testing hardware for fielding of prototypes with potential for transitioning prototypes to production.
  • Ensure project compliance with Intellisense practices and performance standards.
  • Perform peer circuit and code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to team members.
  • Identify technical issues, propose solutions, and ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve technical issues.
Requirements:
  • B.S. or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5-8+ years of analog/digital circuit design with firmware development for low power standalone sensor systems.
  • Deep technical understanding and proficiency in C programming for microcontrollers and VHDL/Verilog for firmware.
  • Passion for electronics and hardware design with creative and critical thinking.
  • Strong E-CAD skill, preferably with Altium.
