Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our team at Sysco. As an Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate files and filing systems to ensure efficient access to operations documentation and other miscellaneous documents.
  • Prepare reports and copy information from one record to another with high accuracy.
  • Coordinate office, computer, and routine supply purchases to ensure timely delivery.
  • Effectively research, track, and resolve documentation problems and discrepancies to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with company personnel and management.
  • Ensure Hazmat paperwork is accurate and prepared for drivers, and that proper Hazmat placards are included with outbound paperwork.
  • Coordinate with yard jockeys to ensure proper Hazmat placards are placed on trailers.
  • Perform radio communication tasks, including battery changer/maintenance for warehouse personnel.
  • Download temperature recorders for inbound loads and print temperature reports for verification.
  • Communicate temperature abuse loads to supervisors and coordinate moves for inspection.
  • Enter UUC data into the UUC database and scan paperwork into the UUC/freight forwarding database drive.
  • Ensure all paperwork for outbound UUC freight is completed accurately and attached to appropriate outbound load.
  • Maintain a clean, secure, and well-maintained work area.
  • Report any unfixable/unsafe issues to supervisors.
  • Enforce all safety rules to reduce accidents and injuries.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one-year related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Basic computer experience and skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and have a strong attention to details.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a varying schedule, including shift work, weekdays, weekends, and some holidays. The position does not require travel.
