Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift to transport pallets of product safely between staging areas, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Pull and put away product using material handling equipment, primarily a reach forklift.
  • Inspect product being moved for shortages, damage, quality, or deterioration of packing and report to supervisor.
  • Ensure pallets are secured with shrink wrap for effective delivery to a door or staging area and to rack storage.
  • Use warehouse management system (WMS) RF equipment to locate products for order building and accurate retrieval, following directed tasking and established procedures.
  • Build pallets in Ti/Hi configuration, label and confirm quantities and product, following directed tasking and established procedures.
  • Count and label unused (residual) cases and return to correct slot, following directed tasking and established procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; six months previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
  • Material handling equipment experience preferred; reach truck experience preferred; Crown and/or Raymond reach truck experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to read and write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and in a small group situation and to respond to questions from managers, associates, and peers.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to material handling equipment and extreme temperatures in freezer/cooler warehouse environments. The noise level is typically loud.
