Community Mental Health Specialist

Position Title: Community Therapist FITT (T2/T3)
As a member of The Omni Family of Services, you will be part of a team that provides intensive, 90-day in-home therapeutic programs for youth at risk of out-of-home placement.
The Family Intensive Treatment Team (FITT) utilizes a team approach to youth and family support. As a FITT Community Therapist, you will work closely with youth and their families to find common approaches to problem solving, crisis de-escalation, and increased effective communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides individual and family counseling services within the community utilizing a strength-based, trauma-informed approach.
- Conducts on-going crisis/risk assessments.
- Works in partnership with youth and their families to develop effective problem-solving strategies.
- Collaborates with Family Support Specialists to provide support for caregivers/guardians.
- Maintains a caseload of 4 youth/families with services provided.
- Assists with on-call rotations.
- Attends all staff meetings, agency training, and community training as assigned by the FITT Director.
- Works collaboratively and constructively with colleagues to achieve program goals.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Master's degree in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, or a behavioral health field with a focus on therapeutic treatment.
- Strong working knowledge of clinical diagnoses using the DSM and interventions to address mental health conditions.
- A passion for working with youth and their families.
