Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed nursing staff in providing patient care and support

• Monitor patients' physical and emotional status and report any changes to the nursing team

• Perform various nursing procedures, such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and providing wound care

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
