About the Role

The Flight Nurse provides critical care to patients in diverse and non-traditional settings, including air and ground evacuations. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, working autonomously while ensuring coordination with other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient physical, social, and psychological status
  • Develop individualized plan of care, involving patient, family, team, and physician
  • Coordinate and communicate decision-making process and plan for patient care
  • Select and administer medications, calculating correct dosage based on physical findings
  • Evaluate patient response to interventions through review of achievement of goals, clinical outcomes, patient and family satisfaction
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
  • Current RN License in state of practice
  • BLS Certification for healthcare providers
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Certification(s) as appropriate to area(s) of practice
  • Three years of Critical Care/Emergency Department or Labor and Delivery experience
