Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandising Specialist to join our team at Gulf Distributing Holdings Company LLC. As a Merchandising Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all product merchandising within each assigned account meets the highest standards of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandising and Display Management
    • Conduct thorough merchandising calls on all assigned accounts to ensure that all products are properly displayed and stocked.
    • Build, merchandise, and sign displays as directed by the manager to maximize visibility and sales.
    • Fill and merchandise the complete product line, including all coolers, shelves, and displays, to meet customer needs.
  • Account Management and Customer Service
    • Maintain a positive working relationship with account owners, managers, and employees to ensure excellent customer service.
    • Identify and report opportunities to increase sales in assigned accounts.
    • Work with accounts to improve shelf position and floor display placement.
  • Inventory Management and Stock Rotation
    • Ensure proper stock rotation is in effect in all assigned accounts to minimize waste and maximize sales.
    • Swap out-of-date products and ensure that all packages are sellable.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Attend all safety and driver's meetings, as well as sales meetings, while covering a sales route.
    • Report any traffic violations, accidents, or injuries to the manager immediately.
    • Conduct all activities in accordance with local, state, and federal liquor control regulations.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Communicate effectively with the manager and other team members to ensure seamless execution of merchandising tasks.
    • Report any issues or concerns to the manager promptly.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in merchandising, sales, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
