Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at CAN Community Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients, assessing their wellbeing and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to enhance patient quality of life.
  • Assist medical providers, clinical staff, and the Practice Administrator in the coordination of patient care, ensuring seamless communication and effective care delivery.
  • Participate in quality assurance duties, supporting quality program processes and objectives, and collaborating with the local quality team as assigned.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate services with other departments, partner organizations, and the community as needed, fostering strong relationships and promoting patient-centered care.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate or Associate Degree in Nursing, graduate of an accredited school of nursing, currently licensed to practice in the state where the clinic is located.
  • Minimum two years of professional nursing experience, with clinic experience preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (CBL) Certification.
Competencies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, visitors, and clinical team members.
  • Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record, with the ability to learn and utilize computer software programs.
  • Ability to maintain patient, team member, and employer confidentiality, complying with all HIPAA regulations.
  • Competent nursing skills, with the ability to perform basic nursing skills safely and effectively.
Training and Development

CAN Community Health requires all employees to complete various training programs, including General Orientation, Hazardous Communication, Violence in the Workplace, Stericycle DOT Training, Bloodborne Pathogen Training, Biohazard Waste Training, HIV/AIDS Sexual Harassment, HIPAA Health Stream Courses, and Hazardous Drug Disposal Training.

Work Environment

This position requires the use of standard nursing equipment and supplies, including medical equipment and devices, patient assistive devices, and standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements

Neat, professional appearance, with the ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
