**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Chief Executive Officer to lead our client's private, fully integrated real estate development and operating firm. As the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, driving growth, and ensuring the success of the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a multi-year strategy that drives year-over-year growth and achieves the company's mission.
  • Lead an effective strategic planning process, producing a clear vision, direction, and goals for the organization.
  • Develop and execute annual business plans that ensure successful achievement of strategy.
  • Evaluate existing and new investment markets and metropolitan cycles of economic activity to forecast market trends.
  • Analyze proposed investments to determine feasibility and return on investment, as well as the level of risk due to changing market conditions and consumer demand.
  • Review proposed development costs to understand total capitalization requirements.
  • With legal counsel, review contracts, loan documents, and partnership agreements.
  • Assess cost of equity and loans to understand total cost of capital stack.
  • Understand current customer market to ensure the projected value of property upon completion is achievable.
  • Lead a high-performing executive team and ensure they are effectively managing their teams to achieve annual business objectives.
  • Support direct reports and hold them accountable to clearly stated performance outcomes.
  • Set annual deliverables/goals for executives and review monthly one-on-one.
  • Encourage and provide for continuous development and training of executive leadership and personnel.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chair and the Board on effective succession plans for executive leadership.
  • Build relationships with key investors, industry leaders, and community leaders to position the company for success.
  • Engage high net worth individuals, family offices, and institutional investors to attract investment funds.
  • Build a network of investment bankers, brokers, and other key sources critical to the company's business and capital requirements.
  • Ensure the flow of funds permits the company to make steady progress towards the achievement of its objectives and that those funds are allocated properly to reflect present needs and future potential.
  • Provide leadership for the company's organizational systems that will rapidly solve conflict, create a positive environment, and deliver expected business results.
  • Maintain a culture that attracts, retains, and motivates top-quality people.
  • Formulate and administer all major policies for productive workflow and collaboration between people and departments.
  • Approve Human Resource (HR) policies, accountability procedures, compensation policies/reward structures that promote strong working relationships throughout the company.
  • Provide effective communication systems and guidelines for sharing critical information and ensuring they are understood throughout the company.
Requirements
  • Established track record of business plan development, execution, and value creation.
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred), specializing in Business and Finance.
  • 10-15 years of proven leadership experience in a like-size and type of organization.
  • Highly effective leader with the ability to build strong relationships with prospective and existing investors/partners as well as direct reports.
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism, leadership, and analytical skills.
